Conrad Weiser fell to Lancaster Country Day 3-2 in the District 3 Class 2A team final Wednesday at Hershey Racquet Club.
The top-seeded Cougars (16-1) won all three singles matches to defeat the sixth-seeded Scouts (16-4).

Conrad Weiser fell to Lancaster Country Day 3-2 in the District 3 Class 2A team final Wednesday at Hershey Racquet Club.
The top-seeded Cougars (16-1) won all three singles matches to defeat the sixth-seeded Scouts (16-4).
Nile Abadir defeated Armaan Malik 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Fred Bloom beat Eric Yazemboski 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 and Carson Weigle defeated Colin Clabaugh 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3.
Weiser’s Jio Garcia and Reed Kopcik defeated Gonzalo Diez Villarino 6-4, 2-1 (retired) at No. 1 doubles, and Aaron Pearson and Adam Noll beat Chandler King and Christian Hoin 6-2, 4-1 (retired) at No. 2.
The Scouts have qualified for the PIAA Tournament, where they will take on the District 6 champ in a first-round match on Tuesday, site and time to be determined.
Weiser was making its second straight trip to the district final. It lost 3-0 to Lancaster Catholic in last year’s championship match.
The Scouts advanced this year by beating third-seeded Trinity 3-1 in the quarterfinals and seventh-seeded Pequea Valley 3-2 in the semifinals.
