BATAVIA — Wheatland-Chili tennis improved to 10-0 on the season with their 5-0 shutout over Notre Dame Thursday in GR tennis action at GCC.

And the Wildcats did so by winning three of the five matches in three sets.

First singles player Josh Gebhardt led the Wildcats with his thrilling three-set victory over Notre Dame’s Brandon Carrick 4-6, 6-0, 6-1.

At second singles, W-C’s Andrew Nolan swept past Jordan Welker 6-1, 6-1 while Ethan Hallock defeated Ronin Hofmaster 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at third singles.

At first doubles, the team of Terry Bayly-Henshaw and John Lynch won a three-setter over Notre Dame’s Justice Yourkowski and Camden King 6-7(3-7), 6-1, 7-5.

W-C finished off the sweep at second doubles as Connor Ingham and Kyle Otto defeated Maylee Green and Kate Ricupito in another three-set match winning 5-7, 6-3, 6-0.

Preston Tobolski swept past Chris Zastrocky 6-2, 6-0 at first singles while Mason Cadieux defeated Megan Zwerka-Snyder 6-1, 6-4 at second singles as the Hornets eased to the GR victory.

At first doubles, Corbin DeMare and Cooper Colantonio defeated B-B’s Carlee Barons and Elli Schelemanow 6-3, 6-4 while the team of Emmaly Wilkocz and Trevor Enes defeated Aden Hillabush and Abby Cook 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles.

Also at third singles, Randy McIntire eased past Riley Shallenberger 6-1, 6-0.

Mitchel Hockey defeated Avon’s Kaden Colt 6-4, 6-2 at first singles as Le Roy got the LCAA win.

Three of the five matches went to all three sets including both doubles matches.

Owen Williams would get the 7-5, 6-2 victory over Dom Patti at second singles while Matthew Hockey won a three-set match over Maxwell Mesi at third singles 3-6, 6-4, 6-0.

At first doubles, Jack Currin and Aiden Soggs defeated Zach Colvin and Nick Antkowiak 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 while Katelynn Everett and Benjamin Robinson defeated Austin Lattuca and David Underhill 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.

Perry’s Garrison Butler made quick work of Beyler Andrew 6-0, 6-0 at first singles as the Yellowjackets cruised.

At second singles, Adrian Yang swept past Strasser Carla 6-1, 6-3 while Devin Wolcott swept past Seth Brown 6-1, 6-2 at third singles.

In first doubles action, Brook Kweicein and Eddie Wolcott defeated Becker Chloe and Teyanna Bradley 6-1, 6-0.

Dansville’s Gabe Doe outlasted Warsaw’s David Meidenbauer in a marathon first singles match winning 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 7-6 (10-8)as the Mustangs got the thrilling LCAA victory.

At first doubles, Dansville’s Gavin Hart and Zachary Heiman defeated Grant Campbell and Kaelyn Keefer( 7-5, 7-6 (10-5).

Warsaw’s Ethan Goulet picked up a point at second singles as he defeated Ian Gibson 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 while teammates Gregory Treutlein and Pablo Alvarez-Garcia swept past Samantha Bishop and Marina Caito 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles.
